PLANNING, Inc. was founded in 1982 and began offering federal benefits training to Federal Government employees. In the mid 1980’s, the curriculum was expanded to include  financial planning, legal and estate planning issues, health and wellness in retirement, and transition from work to retirement.

In 2000, the company was sold to a small veteran-owned firm looking to expand its portfolio. The company continued its history of providing quality training under the leadership of Marc Tripp, a retired Naval Officer. Mr. Tripp updated and expanded the course offerings to target not only federal employees nearing retirement, but also those employees at or near the mid-point of their careers and those who had recently begun their careers in federal government. Mr. Tripp also added  new core services – one-on-one counseling and staffing services. Over the last 11 years, the company doubled in size and increased its cadre of instructors from just a few to several dozen Certified Financial Planners, Estate Planning Attorneys, Health Professionals, Transition Specialists and, of course, Federal Retirement Benefits Specialists.

In 2008, a majority share of PLANNING, Inc. was bought by Albert Zapanta, a highly-decorated Service Disabled Vietnam Veteran.   Mr. Zapanta serves as President and CEO of PLANNING, Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business.  His leadership led to the expansion of our portfolio to include the services noted below.

In 2009, in an effort to diversify its training and reach another segment of the federal population with distinctly different requirements, PLANNING, Inc. has joined forces with qualified and experienced independent contractors as well as organizations highly skilled in conducting Leadership Development Training and Succession Planning.

In 2010, we added other important components to our training portfolio – Health and Wellness workshops, Cyber-security Training, and Health Information Management.

In 2011, we broadened our services and were awarded a multi-year contract with DISA to provide hardware and software modifications and maintenance for Access Control Security System and Closed Circuit Television equipment located at the DISA Warner Robins AFB facility.
